Hi, We are the Waddell's from Faith Christian Church Amelia, Va. We were called here to be House Parents. We have been here in Guatemala for over three years now. We live in "Hilda House" Number One.

There are 15 of us living in this house! We are 8 boys, 4 little girls, Sam and Michelle. That's lots of laundry to wash and dishes to wash!! But, everyone has a job to do, from hanging out laundry on the line, washing dishes, drying, and putting them away (which by the way, most of them are broken...hehe), cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, etc..... It's a lot of work but everyone is learning to come together as a family and take care of what the Lord has blessed us with. And he has truly blessed us over and over!

We love being here with the kids! It's wonderful and fun having such a large family. The kids have all adjusted well with each other. We all are fully integrated into the home. Buddy and Noah share a room with Alexis and Pancho. Joey and Josh share a room with Daniel and Oscar. The boys share their toys from home with their new brothers. I (Michelle), love starting each day with dressing the girls and fixing their hair. (Some know that it's just not the same with Buddy, Joey, Josh, and Noah)

In the short time that we have actually been living with the kids, some are slowly beginning to open up and show a little of their past with us. Some have witnessed their mother being abused by their father, or their mother being killed by their drunk, abusive father.

So, as you can see, we have and are very busy everyday, from sun up till sun down. Some of it is fun, some of it is hard and we just have to give it to the Lord to get through it. But, again the Lord has truly blessed us. And we love Him and serve Him faithfully. We thank Him for everything! Dios le bendiga. God Bless you! Te amo. I love you!
