My name is Stacy Akers and I am from Summit Community Church in O’Fallon, Missouri.    God placed a desire for missions in my heart as a young child.  This desire grew as God sent me to serve overseas on short-term mission trips to Mexico, Bolivia, Honduras, Singapore and two summers in Guatemala.  Now He is leading me with clear direction and peace to serve Him long-term.  After teaching English ten years in a public high school, I feel God calling me to use my gifting and talents in Guatemala.    I look forward to leading a Bible study for the older girls at House of Hope orphanage, training teachers at Oasis, teaching English to the PFM native missionaries and teaching English at Mission Zoe as an outreach opportunity.     My desire is to know the glory of Jesus personally and make His glory known in Guatemala.  I am excited to be a part of what God is already doing at House of Hope and in Zacapa, Guatemala.
